Polymer Roofing Asphalt |
Crafco
manufactures and distributes a variety of polymer modified asphalt
Roofing and Specialty materials used in the manufacture of Shingles,
Built-up Roofing membranes, Waterproofing and Water Storage systems.
Polymer modified asphalt technology offers improved performance
characteristics to these Roofing and Specialty materials. The
ability to extend and improve the asphalt’s base performance
specifications by greater flexibility at cold temperatures,
accommodates greater thermal movement, improved thermal cycling and
impact resistance. |

Rubberized
Waterproofing Membrane
|
Crafco
Rubberized Waterproofing Membrane is a hot-applied asphalt based
composition that is specifically formulated as a fluid membrane that
when applied forms a continuously adhered waterproofing system. The
membrane material is simply melted in an appropriate indirectly
heated melter, poured or pumped onto the prepared surface, and then
leveled to a thickness of at least 1/8-inch to form a seamless
waterproofing membrane. Crafco Rubberized Waterproofing Membrane is
used to waterproof various types of Portland cement concrete
surfaces including recasts and poured in place roofs, bridge decks,
tunnels and parking structures. The unique properties of this
membrane permit its use in re-roofing operations over a variety of
substrates including gypsum and wood surfaces. Since Crafco Rubberized Waterproofing Membrane is designed as a low temperature (-15° F) flexible, crack bridging elastomeric waterproofing material, applications are typically protected from traffic loading, abrasion, puncturing, and UV radiation by an appropriate surface covering. Crafco Rubberized Waterproofing Membrane meets all requirements of Canadian General Standards Board specification 37-GP-50M, "Standard for: Asphalt, Rubberized, Hot Applied for Roofing and Waterproofing. |

Shingle Tab Adhesive |
Crafco Shingle Tab Sealant is a specially formulated and
manufactured asphalt composition that is used as a sealant for
shingle tabs and is applied during the shingle manufacturing
process. The sealant provides improved performance
characteristics compared to typical oxidized asphalt sealant
materials. Improvements include increased tackiness, which
results in enhanced low temperature shingle sealing, improved
low temperature flexibility, and improved toughness and fracture
and squish resistance.

Polymer Roofing Asphalt
|
Crafco Polymer Roofing Asphalts are modified asphalt materials
that are used in roofing construction as elastomeric interply
adhesive, flood coat waterproofing membrane. The formulation and
manufacturing process yields a material with greatly improved
elongation, elasticity, low temperature flexibility, and
toughness when compared to conventional oxidized roofing
asphalts. Crafco Polymer Roofing Asphalt is manufactured using
heat and weathering resistant SEBS polymer systems and specially
formulated asphalt. Crafco Polymer Roofing Asphalt can be heated
using conventional heated roofing kettle and applied using
standard handling and mopping techniques.
Use of Crafco Polymer Roofing Asphalt in combination with appropriate polyester of fiberglass felt base, ply, or cap sheets produces roofing systems which have superior fatigue cracking resistance, tensile strength, low temperature flexibility and puncture resistance as compared to conventional built up roofing systems. A variety of product specifications are available to accommodate roof slope/pitch and climatic temperature regions. |

Laminating
Adhesives
|
Crafco Laminating Adhesive is a hot-applied polymer modified asphalt composition which is suitable for a variety of laminating and adhesive applications in the construction industry. Such uses include packaging adhesives and roofing shingle laminating. Crafco Laminating Adhesive offers significant improvements including increased aggressiveness enhanced low temperature shingle sealing and improved low temperature flexibly. |
